What We Provide
Distillers - Dry, Modified, and Wet
Distillers ingredients can be dangerous if fed at high levels due to sulfur levels. It is recommended to feed a balancer mineral with it. DDG needs stored under roof or it can be stored in bins but sometimes it sticks in them especially in the summer. WDG and MDG can be stored outside but have a limited shelf life while DDG can keep longer.

- DDG (Not Pelleted)
Corn Syrup
Corn syrup is good to cheapen a ration or put on corn stalks, straw, hay or gin trash to increase protein and consumption of the roughage. It’s harder to store due to having to put it in a tank and then figure out a way to feed it. Corn Syrups shelf life does seem to be longer though.

- Harder to Handle

Soyhulls
Soyhulls are a highly palatable feed so farmers commonly use them in creep feeds for weaning calves or limit feed straight to wean calves. Soyhulls need stored undercover or in a bin. When pelleted they flow extremely easy through bins. Since they’re so high in fiber several farmers use them in droughts to help stretch hay.
- High Palatability
- High Fiber
- Pellets Available
- Extremely Easy to Handle
Hominy
Hominy comes in a meal form it will test 9 protein and 7 fat typically. It is used heavily for it’s high energy levels. The protein is 30% higher than corn values, fat is 120% of corn, the total increased value of hominy due to these and other things makes it 20% the value of corn. Hominy is best stored under storage but sometimes is stored in a bin.
- High Energy
- Fat is 100% of Corns
- Meal Form
- Overall 20% higher value than corn
Rice Mill Feed
Mill Feed is mainly fed for a filler. It will test 7% protein and 6% Fat. It comes in a loose form and is very light in weight. Mill Feed is a mixture of ground rice hulls and rice bran. It is also highly desirable for it’s cheaper price.

- Cheap
- Loose Form
- Bulky
GIN Trash
Gin Trash is highly desirable for a hay replacer. Farmers use more of it in drought years when they can’t grow enough hay or silage for their livestock. This is only available for a short time in the fall of the year so needs stock piled then. There is a risk of this catching on fire if you stock pile a lot of it. It’s recommended to pack it to make it keep longer.
- Good Roughage
- Bales Option
- Hay Replacer
- Only Available in the Fall

Do You Have Any Questions ?
Below are answers to some frequently asked questions.
What’s the best bulk feed for stretching hay?
Distillers is the best being that it’s high protein. Based on your operation you can use DDG, MDG, WDG, or corn syrup.
What’s the best thing to mix with junk hay or gin trash?
The two best ingredients for this is WDG or Corn Syrup.
How big is a load?
A load is roughly 25 ton but can be from 23-27 ton normally.
What trailers do you deliver with?
I use Belts, Walking Floors, End Dumps, Tankers, and some hoppers. My Belts and End Dumps can unload like a hopper though.
How many pounds of DDG do I feed per day?
This depends on your operation. My nutritionists tells me 1 pound per 100 pounds of body weight on feeder cattle and 3-4 pounds a day in droughts and in the winter on cows. You need to contact your local nutritionist for these questions though.
